We spent
three nights in Litchfield National Park camped above Florence Falls. We swam
in rockpools, under waterfalls, jumped into plunge pools, sat letting water
cascade over us, cooked damper on the campfire (first time we were allowed to
have a campfire in a national park. It was a very relaxing couple of days. We
were lucky enough to spend an afternoon with 30 kids from Numbulwar in Arnhem
Land, who arrived by bus on an excursion. For some it was their first time out
of Arnhem Land. It was a joy to watch them enjoying the experience. They were
very happy to talk to the tourists and the smiles on their faces were gorgeous.
